SOFITEL HOTEL,
GATWICK AIRPORT
BRIEF: Arora Developments Ltd. commissioned a pair of elegant water features to enhance and divide public spaces within the hotel. Due to very tight time constraints the project had to be designed, produced and installed within 40 days.
SOLUTION: Light, water and gravity blended in two spectacular indoor features, including the groundbreaking ‘Water Wall’ (please scroll down to view). With endlessly variable colour and optical illusions created with the use of semi-reflective glass, the water seemingly flows simultaneously up and down the vertical wall.
“ Arora International have been very excited by the two water features David Harber Ltd. have introduced at the Sofitel, London Gatwick. They create a dramatic effect for guests entering the hotel from the airport, and form a strong centrepiece in the new public spaces within the hotel’s atrium. We are looking to David to make a similarly successful contribution to the new 600-bed Sofitel being created at Heathrow’s Terminal 5.”
